Shake Rattle and Roll, Shake Rattle and Roll Fourteen: The Invasion, Shake Rattle and Roll Eight are some of the best Filipino horror films. In the horror genre, each film contains a monster (or a zombie), a werewolf, a ghost, a shaman or a zombie. However, these aren't the only monsters in the horror genre. There are other species of monsters such as the vampires, the zombies, the ghouls, the werewolves, etc.
The original Shake Rattle and Roll is a 1984 film directed by Chito S. Roño. Its follow-up, Shake Rattle and Roll Fourteen: The Invasion, was made in 2001 and is directed by Chito S. Roño. As mentioned before, the film is composed of three episodes: Baso (Glass), Shilao (The Forest) and Huwag Mo Maniwinit (Do not Argue).
Shake, Rattle and Roll is based on a true story of two teenagers who stumble upon a graveyard that is inhabited by the souls of the dead.
Synopsis
In the 1980s, when high school graduate Marc moves to a new town, he meets local resident Carl. He discovers a secret that is hidden in the new place, that his new surroundings are filled with the souls of the dead. Marc and his school friend, Nina, decide to free these ghosts, but they soon find themselves surrounded by various other monsters.
Shake, Rattle and Roll is a 6-episode of series about the encounter of two high school graduates and the discovery of a graveyard of the dead and their supernatural adversaries. Shake, Rattle and Roll (Shake Rattle and Roll: The Invasion in the US) was directed by Chito S. Roño and released in 2001. It is the sequel of the 1984 film Shake, Rattle and Roll, and was preceded by a three-episode, collective prequel of the series, Shake Rattle and Roll Fourteen: The Invasion.
